Maggie's Organics is a company that truly is devoted to going the extra mile in doing good for the people and the planet. They produce and provide comfortable, durable, affordable and beautiful articles of apparel and accessories made from materials that restore, sustain and enhance the resources, including human, from which they are made. Bena Burda founded the company in 1992 with the mission to raise awareness about the harmful impacts of cotton, but more importantly to lead the way to a more sustainable industry and product.
Starting with the organically grown cotton and wool, Maggie's Organics works with small farms in the U.S., Argentina, Peru, Tanzania and India whose skilled workers are treated with dignity and respect, earn fair wages, and work in co-ops that they helped them build as well as family-owned and operated shops. And they are proud that every pair of socks they have made since 1992 has been made in the USA using real fair trade practices. They've traveled near and far to make sure their clothing is made the Maggie’s way from farm to finish: Ethical, sustainable, and transformative. In addition, they are completely transparent with all of their supply chains, all components used to make their products, and with their processes in making their products.
