Sapling Press is a letterpress design and print shop founded by Lisa Krowinski in 2003 with a simple goal: They want you to laugh at what they say, be happy with what they make, and enjoy the process enough for you to do it all over again.
Using classic letterpress techniques, Sapling Press creates custom-made stationery and greeting cards. By locking in movable type and physically pressing ink to paper, the letterpress process culminates in a direct impression of an inked, raised surface. What started as an idea during her graphic design days in Baltimore led to the blossoming of a stationary squad fittingly located on Friendship Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
